Who operates the app
Flawless Studio LLC, a United States company, operates Fasting Tracker. You can use the app without creating an account, and we do not run a server that stores your fasts. For privacy questions or requests, email support@fastingtracker.app.
Information handled
Your fasts and settings. Your fasts (start and end times, plan and goal, and the check-ins you make during them: how hungry and how energetic you feel), the water you log, your settings (including a weight goal and height, if you give them) and the dates you unlocked badges are stored on your device. Fasting Tracker's widgets, Live Activity and Apple Watch app read them on your devices to show your fast, your latest check-in and your day's water.
iCloud backup and sync. If you are signed in to iCloud, your fasts and the water you log are saved to your private iCloud database and your settings and badge dates to iCloud key-value storage, so they survive reinstalls and stay in sync across your devices. This data sits in your own iCloud account, under Apple's privacy terms; we cannot access it. To keep sync up to date, the app can receive silent notifications from Apple.
Apple Health. If you connect Apple Health, Fasting Tracker reads your body weight to show your trend and the water other apps save there to add it to your day's water, and saves the weight and water you log in the app to Apple Health. What it reads from and saves to Apple Health stays there and on your devices, and is never sent to us. Apple Health asks for your permission first, and you can change it at any time.
Reminders. If you allow notifications, Fasting Tracker schedules its reminders on your device: when your goal is near or reached, at each new stage and before your eating window closes.
Purchases. Apple processes payment for Fasting Tracker Pro. RevenueCat processes your purchase history and an anonymous app identifier so the app can unlock and restore Pro. We do not receive your payment card details.
Usage statistics and crash reports. Unless you turn it off, Fasting Tracker sends usage statistics to Google Analytics for Firebase and crash reports to Firebase Crashlytics. Usage statistics record which features are used, such as starting, ending or editing a fast, checking in during a fast, logging water or weight, changing your plan or settings, finishing onboarding, reading a Learn article, opening the Pro screen or making a purchase, and which screens you open, along with app opens and sessions, your device model, iOS and app version, language and approximate country. Crash reports describe what the app was doing when it stopped and the state of your device at the time. Both carry a random identifier for your installation of the app and the anonymous identifier RevenueCat assigns to you, so that usage, crash reports, purchases and support requests can be matched; RevenueCat in turn stores the Firebase identifier for your installation. They never include your fast times or lengths, notes, moods, how hungry or energetic you feel, weight, water amounts or anything from Apple Health, and Fasting Tracker does not use your device's advertising identifier. You can turn them off in Fasting Tracker under Settings, Privacy, Share usage and crash reports.
Support. If you email us, we receive your email address and what you send, so we can reply. An email started from the app's Contact support button also includes your app version, device model, iOS version and the first characters of your anonymous RevenueCat identifier, which you can remove before sending.
Fasting Tracker does not show ads, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not use your advertising identifier.
Why it is used
Information on your device and in your iCloud powers the app's features: your timer, stages, streaks, badges, history, reminders, widgets and Apple Watch app. Apple Health weight and water show your progress. Purchase information unlocks and restores Pro. Usage statistics show us which features people use, and crash reports help us find and fix problems. We use support messages to answer you. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, these activities may rely on providing the service you asked for, our legitimate interests, legal obligations, or consent as appropriate. Reading this notice does not itself give consent.
Who processes information
Apple provides app distribution, payments, iCloud and Apple Health. RevenueCat manages purchase entitlements. Google receives usage statistics and crash reports through Firebase. These providers may process information in the United States or other countries under their own terms and transfer arrangements. See Apple privacy information and RevenueCat's privacy policy, and Privacy and Security in Firebase.
Your choices and rights
In the app, you can edit or delete fasts and change your plan, reminders and settings. In Fasting Tracker's Settings, under Privacy, you can stop sending usage statistics and crash reports. In iOS Settings, you can turn off notifications, change or remove Apple Health access, and turn off iCloud for Fasting Tracker. Deleting the app removes what it stores on your device; your private iCloud data stays in your iCloud account until you delete it in iOS Settings. Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings.
Depending on where you live and the processing involved, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, or to complain to a data protection authority. Email support@fastingtracker.app to make a request. We may need information to verify and handle it; we cannot retrieve information stored only on your device, in your iCloud or in Apple Health.
Children
Fasting Tracker is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us.
Retention and security
Information on your device stays until you delete it or the app, and information in your iCloud and Apple Health stays until you delete it there. Usage statistics and crash reports are kept according to the retention settings of Google Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. Purchase and support records are kept for the purposes described here and according to the providers' retention settings, applicable law and service requirements. We use device and provider security controls to protect information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Updates and contact
We may update this notice as the app or its services change. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
