About Fasting Tracker
Who makes the app, how our guides are written, and how to reach us
Who we are
Fasting Tracker is made by Flawless Studio, an independent studio that designs and builds its own apps for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Flawless Studio LLC is based in the United States. Fasting Tracker is an intermittent fasting timer built to make fasting simple and kind: no calorie counting, no food logging, no account and no ads.
How our guides are written
Every guide on this site is a shorter version of a guide in the app's Learn tab, and our plans, quick answers and stage pages are built from the same guides and from the app's own stage descriptions. They're written from published research, mostly randomized trials, reviews and meta-analyses in peer-reviewed journals.
- We cite our sources. Every page lists the studies it relies on, with links, and numbers each claim to its source.
- We describe studies honestly: how many people, for how long, and what they can't show. Small or short studies are called small or short.
- We say "may" when the evidence in people is still early, and say so when a claim comes from animal studies.
- We don't promise results. The stage hours are typical averages, not a schedule.
- Nothing on these pages is sponsored, and we don't sell supplements.
Not medical advice
Our guides explain general research and aren't medical advice. Fasting Tracker is designed for general wellness and is not a medical device. Talk to your doctor before changing how you eat, especially if you're pregnant, have diabetes or any medical condition, or take medication.
Corrections and contact
If you spot a mistake or a study we've missed, write to support@fastingtracker.app. We read every message, and when we're wrong, we correct the guide in the app and on this site.
A note on health
Fasting Tracker is designed for general wellness and is not a medical device. Fasting is not right for everyone. If you are pregnant, diabetic, have a history of eating disorders or take medication, talk to your doctor first, and before any extended fast.
